The engagement session is always a wonderful time spent with my lovely couples so that I can better know them, discover their personalities and also know which time of atmosphere they like for their engagement session. Elise and Antoine met in Lausanne and love its historical center. It was therefore just logical to make this engagement session in the heart of the sweet city of Lausanne, right under its beautiful cathedral. All those paved streets, but also the stairway to the Lausanne cathedral, were a wonderful playground for a wedding photographer like me for a urban engagement session in the evening in Lausanne.

Starting the wedding season 2014 with Melanie and Philippe was such a joy for me! I already knew Melanie’s family since her sister’s wedding back in 2013 and therefore it was funny to see known faces. This beautiful wedding started off with a First Look in the nature with a wonderful sunlight in the end of May.

Religious wedding ceremony at Poliez-Pittet church

The religious ceremony took place in the beautiful church of Poliez-Pittet, a small village in the canton of Vaud. This church allowed us to take some gorgeous pictures with a wonderful light, either inside or outside the Church, so that we could see how lovely this couple is. can ivermectin kill heartworms in dogs

Apero at Le Castel restaurant Bois Genoud, Crissier

The apero was afterwards at the restaurant Le Castel at Bois Genoud in Crissier, a lovely place in the middle of nature without being far from Lausanne. With such a beautiful sunny day, everyone could enjoy the wonderful garden of this restaurant. I must say children particularly loved it!

After the gests’ departure for the reception, we took some more time to make additional couple photos in this wonderful place with the golden hour light that photographers truly enjoy.

Reception at Movenpick Ouchy in Lausanne

Lastly, the reception of Melanie and Philippe’s wedding took place in the well-known Movenpick Ouchy in Lausanne. The table decoration was all about cinema, since it is Philippe’s passion. I must admit I loved the name of the newly weds’ tabble with the name of the wonderful movie In the Mood for Love. ivermectin prophylaxis strongyloides

Melanie and Philippe and their families were so nice people, I really enjoyed documenting this beautiful wedding in Vaud with such a lovely couple. Thanks again to Melanie and Philippe for their kindness.

In this post, I just want to share with you one of the first wedding photos from Melanie and Philippe’s wedding that took place in the small and wonderful Poliez-Pittet church. You already know this lovely couple because we made an engagement session in the roman runes of Lausanne, where they got used to my wedding photography philosophy.

Brenda & Frédéric, engagement session in Lavaux, Switzerland

When a future bride asks you with a great smile when will the photos be on the blog so that the whole family can enjoy them, how can I resist :)?

My mission of the day was therefore to make enjoy both families and the future bride and groom with this engagement session photos. I love spending this time with a couple because each side of the couple fastly exhibits his/her personality and we see appearing the couple dynamics. Here, the joyful colombian Brenda knew how to make the calm swiss Frédéric fall in love. A small word in Spanish for Brenda’s family and here we go with the photos.

As I explained it fastly in this engagement session sneak peek, our future couple decided to spend this engagement session on the Geneva lake shore and in the Lavaux. We therefore launched the engagement session in the peaceful and beautiful village of Cully.

Some old pétanque players were watching how this wonderful couple was behaving naturally in front of the camera, they thought they were professional models!

Second step of this engagement session, the Lavaux vinery. French-speaking Switzerland offers a wonderful environment for photography with this georgeous scenery of Lavaux and that, even though vines were still small at this time of the year.

The weather tried playing with us. We saw the rain passing by far away but in the end, we were still able to finish the engagement session without any problem before the storm got switched on during the way back home!

For Brenda and Frédéric’s wedding, I have the big task of making Brenda’s colombian family to live this wonderful day through my wedding photography since they will not be able to come to Switzerland. I will have the pleasure to document this wedding in June.

My favorite part is definitely related to children and trusting them with valuables! Everything goes throught the Buzzfeed team, as save-the-date, formal wear, throwing rice to celebrate an exit, being a bridezilla, and so many more.
