Here is a new newborn photo session that I had the pleasure to make in Lausanne, in the Vaud canton. This time, it is the small Louis who was the nice model for this photo session, accompanied by his whole family. A gorgeous little boy, who I photographed during his first 15 days of life as it is the best moment to safely put him in those curvy newborn positions.
After having seen the lovely Inès’ pictures, let’s switch to a little boy for this new blog post about a newborn photo session :). And it is the beautiful Axel who will let you see his gorgeous baby features. I had the pleasure to meet him before this photoshoot, which is to say one day after his birth at the maternity to take his birth announcement picture. Yet, it is after some more days and Axel’s coming back to home that we made his newborn photo session at home.
I had the pleasure to meet the lovely little Inès for her Lausanne newborn photoshoot. Peacefully asleep from the beginning of the photo session, I had the time to magnify her beautiful features with her closed eyes in different poses before she woke up a little bit to show me her beautiful eyes.
For Ryan’s photo session in Geneva, I got the pleasure to learn his dad was offering this photoshoot to his wife, a present that will stay in their memories for decades to come, but that will also be remembered again and over again with these pictures on paper and hopefull on their home walls :). I am receiving more and more inquiries about gift vouchers for pregnancy and newborn photoshoot from families and friends and I love thinking about my photoshoots to be such lovely gifts! To tell you the truth, I would love to be temporarily changed to a mouse to be able to see parents’ reaction when receiving their gift voucher!!!
I met Calvin for his newborn photo session 8 days after his birth in Nyon, Vaud. At this age, your baby will still sleep a lot and as a newborn photographer, I can easily manipulate him and put him in curly and cute poses. Sometimes, the baby will resist sleeping because he wants to know what is going on around him as it is not usual to see a newborn photographer (mostly with all the photo equipment I am bringing for his safety and comfort).
During Calvin’s photo session, we used various family objects to customize his photoshoot, such as this wonderful paper creation made by Calvin’s name! I can just admire her for such patience, this is a lovely creation :).
As I just explained, Calvin tried to sneak around to see what was going on during his newborn photo session and I used this time for shooting him wide awake and with his eyes open, as well as displaying his cute little feet, hands and face features.
It was then time for Calvin to go back to his dreams because, as little as he is, he needs a lot of sleeping hours!

By making newborn photoshoots, I am lucky to discover beautiful baby names from different origins around the world. After the baby boy Agastya and his indian origins, I had the honor of meeting the lovely baby girl Eilís (to be pronounced as Aylish), with a surname coming from Irland like her dad. After some little research, it seems that this surname is the gaelic form for Elizabeth.
It is in Eilís’s lovely room in Lausanne that we made the newborn photoshoot. A bonnet with a flower coming from her grandmother in the USA and a wool blanket as a family heirloom were everything I needed to create custom images that will last.
